The matter was originally filed before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal, Chennai as Original Application No.1999/2004 and on abolition of the Tribunal, the matter was transferred to the High Court and renumbered as W.P.No.17577/2007 praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to rejoin duty in his last worked post with payment of entire arrears of salary and other service benefits from 05.12.2003. The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to rejoin duty in his last worked post with payment of entire arrears of salary and other service benefits from 05.12.2003.

When the matter is called, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer in the Writ Petition has already become infructuous and recording the same, the Writ Petition may be closed.

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is closed as infructuous. No costs.
