O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to provide adequate police protection for fencing the petitioner's property based on his representation dated 10.01.2022.

2. It is the contention of the petitioner that he purchased a property in New Survey No.116/4A, Old Survey No.116/4 to an extent of 75 cents situated at Vichur Village through a registered sale deed dated 25.02.2021. The petitioner has the legal right over the property and he has also obtained the Civil Court's order. When he tried to fence the said property, hooligans threatened him. Hence, he sent a representation to the respondent Police on 10.01.2022, seeking police protection for fencing his property. Though the petitioner's life and property is under threat, the respondent Police have not taken any action.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that the respondent Police have not received any complaint. He further submitted that if the petitioner appears in person along with a copy of the complaint and supporting documents, after enquiry, further appropriate action would be taken. If needed, protection would be given to the petitioner and his property.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions, submitted that the petitioner will appear before the respondent Police on 10.02.2022 along with necessary documents.

5. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent Police on 10.02.2022 along with a copy of the complaint and supporting documents. Thereafter, the respondent Police shall take appropriate action and conclude the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order. After enquiry, if it is found that the petitioner has got legal right over the subject property, the respondent Police shall provide necessary protection for fencing the subject property.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
