This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant police protection to the life of the petitioner at Door No.A114/82, 3rd avenue, Anna Nagar, Chennai 600 102.

2. On account of boycott of Courts, there is no representation on the side of the petitioner. However, in Harish Uppal [Ex.Capt.] Vs Union of India reported in [2003] 2 SCC 45, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that boycott of Courts is illegal and therefore, this Court perused the records and passes the following order:

It is seen that there are complaints and counter complaints between the petitioner and the opposite party, on account of which the respondent police have registered a case in Cr.No.676/2015 u/s 145 Cr.P.C. and have referred to the Tahsildar, Koyambedu for further proceedings. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In the light of the above, the police protection as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted in a petition u/s 482 Cr.P.C., especially when the contesting parties have not been made as respondents. Hence, this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
