2. Earlier, it was informed by the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners that the matter is already settled and the petitioners have filed a memo and affidavit to compound the offence before the learned Additional Judge, XIX City Civil Court, Chennai, and so far no order has been passed.
3. Therefore, this Court by an order dated 10.01.2020, dismissed this Petition and directed the learned Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, that if at all the petitioners had filed any petition for compounding the offence, the same may be received and dispose of the same in accordance with law, on or before 27.02.2020 and also directed him to file a compliance report before this Court today. 4.Accordingly, the learned Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, has submitted his report in Dis.No.2041/2020, dated 27.02.2020. Such report is taken into file.
5.On perusal of the report, it is seen that the petitioners have approached the trial Court for filing the compound petition only on Page No.1/2 http://www.judis.nic.in
Crl.O.P.No.8660 of 2013 P.VELMURUGAN, J., rm 26.02.2020 and the same was taken up for hearing on 27.02.2020. Even the copy was served to the other side only on 27.02.2020. Therefore, the petitioners have lost their rights. Therefore, the trial Court need not give effect to the order of this Court dated 10.01.2020 in Crl.O.P.No.8660 of 2013 and to proceed further with the case in S.C.No.135 of 2011, pending on the file of the Principal Sessions Court, Chennai, in accordance with law.
