Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus, to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the 3rd respondent made in Se.Mu.Na.Ka.261/2010/A3, dated 21.07.2010, quash the same and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 25.02.2010 made by the petitioner along with others in respect of appointment of non-hereditary Trustee of Arulmighu Angalamman Temple, Paramathi.

The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking to quash the proceedings of the 3rd respondent made in Se.Mu.Na.Ka.261/2010/A3, dated 21.07.2010 and for a consequential direction to the 3rd respondent to pass orders on his representation dated 25.02.2010 along with others in respect of appointment of non-hereditary Trustee of Arulmighu Angalamman Temple, Paramathi.

Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

It is seen that the period in question for which the petitioner shall be considered for appointment as non-hereditary Trustee has already expired as could be seen from the proceedings, dated 21.07.2010 of the 3rd respondent. Hence, nothing further survives for consideration in this Writ Petition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to make a fresh representation to the respondents/H.R. & C.E. and if such a representation is made, the respondents/H.R. & C.E. shall dispose of the same within a period of two weeks thereafter. The Writ Petition is dismissed with the the above observation. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P.Nos.1 and 2 of 2011 are closed.
