ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 06.01.2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 r/w 7(i)(a)(ii) of E.C. Act, 1955, in Crime No.215 of 2020, seeks bail.

2. However, today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is an habitual offender and he is having 10 previous cases. She would also submit that he used to transport PDS rice, which was meant for poor and downtrodden people to other States. Hence, this petition may be dismissed.

3. Taking into consideration of the seriousness of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
