This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents and their subordinates from demanding or collecting entry tax in respect of the petitioner's imported vehicle bearing Chassis No.WBAFB 72030 and Engine No.26626005 to be registered with the respondents 3 and 4.

O R D E R

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner made a submission that during the pendency of the writ petition the balance arrears of Entry Tax due i.e. a sum of Rs.3,53,078/- was paid by the petitioner on 06.09.2021 [vide Doha Bank D.D.No.001515 dated 06.09.2021].

2. In view of the fact that the petitioner has paid the Entry Tax as demanded, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
