This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash E.O.C.C.No.617 of 2017 on the file of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Economic Offences - II, Egmore, Chennai.
2. When the case is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the Respondent-Income Tax submits that they had filed a petition to compound the offence before the Income Tax Authorities. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Criminal Original Petition. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner fairly concedes the same.
