Contempt petitions filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act praying to punish the respondent for flouting the order passed in W.P.Nos.30964 and 30965 of 2016 respectively, dated 27.07.2022 by this Hon'ble High Court of Madras, Chennai.

of the order dated 27.07.2022 made in W.P.Nos.30964 and 30965 of 2016 respectively.
2.Pursuant to the statutory notice ordered on 31.03.2023, the respondent/contemnor, appeared before this Court today (28.04.2023). The further appearance of the contemnor is dispensed with.
3.It is represented by the learned Additional Government Pleader that this Court vide order dated 27.07.2022 made in W.P.Nos.30964 and 30965 of 2016 directed the respondent to pay compensation amount to the petitioners along with interest and further directed to refer the matter before the competent Civil Court, if the petitioners are aggrieved with the compensation amount. He further submitted that compensation amount of Rs.10,95,660/- and Rs.4,81,135/- respectively, were paid in favour of the petitioners and since they were aggrieved, the matter was referred before the Principal District Judge, Cuddalore in L.A.O.P.Nos.31, 32 and 33 of 2/4
2023 for enhancement of compensation.
4.In view of the above, there is no willful disobedience and these Contempt Petitions are closed.
