Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the entire records relating to the petitioner's husband Alex S/O Kuppan, Male, aged about 30 years present by lodged in Central Prison, Puzhal at Chennai has been detained under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 as a Goonda vide Detention Order, dated 04.09.2015 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein made in Memo No.851/BDFGISSSV/2015, and quash the same as illegal and consequently to direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person to the detenu Alex, before this Court and to set him at liberty.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] Challenge is made to the order of detention passed by the second respondent vide Memo No.851/BDFGISSSV/2015, dated 04.09.2015, whereby, the husband of the petitioner, by name, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Alex, S/o.Kuppan, Male, aged about 30 years, was ordered to be detained under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum-grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982) branding him as a "Goonda" as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up, it has been brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the detenu, namely, Alex, S/o.Kuppan, died on 20.12.2015. The death certificate issued by the Corporation of Chennai has been produced before this Court. Therefore, nothing survives for consideration in this petition. This Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as abated.
