This writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to number the petitioner's Second Appeal dated 16.11.2019 filed under the RTI Act, and take it on file and further dispose of the same within the time stipulated.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Feeling aggrieved against the inaction on the part of the third respondent in not furnishing information sought for by the petitioner an appeal preferred before the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent also seems to have not been disposed of. Hence, the petitioner approached the first respondent and filed the Second Appeal. The said appeal is sought to be disposed of within the time frame by filing the present writ petition.

The learned standing counsel appearing for the first respondent, based on instructions, submitted that the Second Appeal filed by the petitioner has been assigned as Case No.SA11599/D/2019 on 29.11.2019 and the matter is posted for enquiry on 13.02.2020. Therefore, the learned standing counsel seeks 8 weeks time for disposing the appeal, in view of the pendency of several appeals before the first respondent.

5. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by granting 8 weeks time to the first respondent to dispose of the Second Appeal dated 16.11.2019 on merits and in accordance with law, as this Court is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner. No costs.
