Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned Refusal check slip issued by the respondent in RFL/Joint I Sub Registrar, Tiruppur /2/2025 dated 08.01.2025 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to register the settlement dated 08.01.2025 presented by the petitioner.

The petitioner who had presented the settlement deed, is before this Court as she is aggrieved by the refusal check slip issued by the respondent. The respondent has rejected to register the settlement deed stating that the original document has not been submitted.

2. Heard the learned counsels on the either side and perused the records.

3. In the light of the Judgements passed by this Court in P.Pappu Vs. The Sub Registrar - W.A.No.1160 of 2024 and Ramayee - Vs - The Sub Registrar and others - 2020 SCC Online Mad 5231, the refusal cannot be sustained.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is allowed. The impugned order is quashed. The Respondent is directed to register the document, within a period of 2 weeks, from the date of its re-presentation. No 2/5

costs.
