Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing respondent No.1 State of Tamil Nadu to implement the judgment of the Full Bench of the Hon'ble Court in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission v R.Manikandan: 2011

(5) CTC 1 and to constitute respondent no.2 Committee as a permanent Committee enabling respondent no.2 Committee to function on all working days of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.M.Radhakrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Karthik Jegannath, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. The grievance in the writ petition is to constitute a permanent Committee to enable the second respondent to function on all working days.

3. Learned Government Advocate placed on record the communication stating that three Committees, viz. SLSC-I, SLSC-II and SLSC-III, are constituted. The Chairman, Member Secretary and Member of the Committees are also detailed. Learned Government Advocate submits that these Committees are constituted on permanent basis.

4. In view of the said statement, the purpose of the writ petition stands served.

5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
