ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to extent the benefit of regularization of the schedule property under the Innocent Purchaser Scheme as per G.O.Ms.No.649, Revenue Department, dated 29.07.1998 read with G.O.Ms.No.565, Revenue Department, dated 26.09.2008 and G.O.Ms.No.63, Revenue and Disaster Management Department [ULC-1(2)] dated 27.01.2020, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims that he will fall under the Innocent Purchaser Scheme having purchased the schedule property without having knowledge about the acquisition under the Urban Land Ceiling Act. The petitioner 2/4

relied upon certain Government Orders, which according to the petitioner enables him to get regularization of the schedule property under the Innocent Purchaser Scheme. The petitioner had given a representation prior to the filing of this writ petition on 10.03.2025. Since the same was not considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the Government Orders relied upon by the petitioner have now been substituted by G.O.(Ms) No.149 dated 09.02.2026. Learned Special Government Pleader would submit that in terms of the said Government Order, the petitioner's representation will be considered, but, the petitioner will have to give a fresh representation.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner is willing to give a fresh representation in terms of G.O. (Ms) No.149 dated 09.02.2026.

After recording the submissions of both learned counsels, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to submit a fresh representation seeking for regularization of the schedule property under the Innocent Purchaser Scheme as per G.O.(Ms) No.149 dated 09.02.2026 within a period of one (1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said representation within the stipulated time, the third respondent shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law in the light of G.O.(Ms) No.149 dated 09.02.2026, within a period of four

(4) months thereafter. No costs.
