These Contempt Petitions are filed to initiate contempt proceedings under section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondent for the willful disobedience of the order in W.A.Nos.778 and 779 of 2017 dated 03.07.2018.
2. When the contempt petitions came before this Court, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent has submitted before this court that against the order passed in W.A.Nos.778 and 779 of 2017, the respondents have preferred an appeal in S.L.P.(Civil) Diary No. 8547 of 2023 and the Hon'ble Supreme Court has granted an interim order of stay on 24.04.2023. A copy of the said order has been placed before this Court. 2/4
3. In view of the interim order of stay granted by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the contempt petitions are closed. However, liberty is given to the petitioners, if necessary, to file fresh contempt petition before this Court.
