This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.2683 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police. 2.This matter relates to theft of a tipper lorry. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the FIR was registered in the year 2015, but no proper investigation has been carried out by the respondent police to trace the tipper lorry. The petitioner has been following up the matter with the respondent police for recovery of the tipper lorry, but in vain. Stating so, the learned counsel for the petitioner prayed for a direction to the respondent police to file final report within a stipulated time frame.

3.Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents.
4.Since the First Information Report has been filed in the year 2015 and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.232 of 2015 pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
