Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation dt.08.10.2018 and extend all the service benefits to the petitioner taking into consideration the date of regularisation as 13.10.1982 and with effect from the dates on which the petitioner's juniors were promoted to the post of Assistant/Superintendent/ Bursar/Assistant Director.

The grievances of the petitioner is that, though vide G.O.Ms.No.131, Higher Education Department dated 07.04.2005 his services were regularised with effect from the date of initial https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

appointment on 13.10.1982, his seniority has not been fixed accordingly. In this regard, he has made representations on 27.01.2017, 22.06.2018 and 08.10.2018 which have not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the writ petition is filed.

2. Ms. Thangavadhana Balakrishnan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the Respondents and submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks

3. Regarding the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.10.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
