ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the

representation made by the petitioner, who is seeking for the benefits of Family Pension.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her father was working as Rural Medical Officer at Thiruvonam Panchayat Union. After his retirement, he was receiving pension till his death on 30.12.2017. According to the petitioner, she is entitled under the Family Pension Scheme to receive Family pension as a beneficiary. The petitioner submitted an application on 25.06.2019 to the fourth respondent. The petitioner also made a representation on 25.11.2019 in this regard. In response to the representation, the first respondent had asked the petitioner to submit the list of documents relied upon through the fourth respondent office for processing the request made by the petitioner. According to the petitioner, the relevant documents have already been submitted to the fourth respondent office on 25.06.2019. Since there has been no improvement in the status, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

3. Heard Mr.Balaji Thirumoorthy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.S. Siva Shanmuga Sundaram, Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent to forward the entire papers received from the petitioner to the office of the first respondent within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The first respondent, on receipt of the records from the fourth respondent, shall proceed to pass appropriate orders within six

(6) weeks thereafter. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the fourth respondent along with all the relevant documents and also along with a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
