Pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 14.10.2025, the learned counsel for the petitioner produced a receipt confirming the deposit 1/4

of Rs.8,28,800/- to the credit of C.C.No.316 of 2017 and the receipt is extracted hereunder:

2.The learned counsel further submitted that the entire cheque amount of Rs.10,36,000/- has been deposited before the trial Court and the understanding is that the respondent/complainant to file a petition under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act for compounding the offence. 3.Today, the learned counsel for the respondent submitted that he is unable to contact the respondent or his counter part in the trial Court. He has also sent letters but the respondent not responded for the same. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that now the petitioner deposited the entire cheque amount and the petitioner may be discharged from the above case.

5.Since the learned counsel for the respondent submitted that despite his best efforts, the respondent is unable to be contacted, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor through the jurisdictional police to inform the respondent/complainant about the pendency of the above case and deposit of the amount and ensure the presence of the respondent before this Court either physically or through virtual mode on the next hearing date. 3/4
