COMMON ORDER These civil revision petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the III Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the matrimonial proceedings pending in FCOP No.5620 of 2023 and FCOP No.2875 of 2024, within a time frame, fixed by this court.

2. The petitioner herein/husband filed a petition in FCOP No.5620 of 2023 under Section 13(b) of the Hindu Marriage Act seeking divorce, whereas, the respondent herein /wife filed a petition in FCOP No.2875 of 2024 under Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act seeking restitution of conjugal rights and both the petitions are pending before the Family Court.

3. A perusal of the e-courts status filed in the typed set of papers would indicate that the respondent herein filed counter in FCOP No.5620 of 2023 as early as on 05.09.2024 and thereafter, the matter has been adjourned from time to time for enquiry without any substantial progress. In FCOP2875 of 2024, the petitioner herein filed his counter on 01.09.2025 and thereafter, there was no effective progress in enquiry.

4. Taking into consideration the date of filing of both the original petitions and also the fact that the pleadings of the parties in both the petitions were already completed, this court is inclined to direct the learned III Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose of FCOP No.5620 of 2023 and FCOP No.2875 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above direction, both the civil revision petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
