Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records from the 1st respondent relating to the G.O.Ms.No.12, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election) Department, dated 17.01.2022 and quash the same in so far as the petitioner is concerned and consequently direct the respondents to conduct the election for the Chairperson of the 4th respondent Town Panchayat on the basis of G.O.Ms.No.124, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election) Department, dated 16.09.2016.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the writ petition with liberty to challenge the election by maintaining an election petition and also to file a separate writ petition for the reservation of post of Chairperson for a particular category.

2. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.1982, 1984 and 1985 of 2021 are also dismissed. There will be no order as to costs.
