ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.12.2024 and grant permission to conduct the Arulmiku Mahashri Muthumariamman temple festival on 31.01.2025 while also providing protection to the people on the same day.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the third respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and counter parties, viz., the fourth respondent and conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner seeking police protection to conduct the Arulmiku Mahashri Muthumariamman temple festival and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition petition is disposed of.

No costs.
