This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner dated 02.11.2024, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for transfer of patta in his name with respect to the subject property.

2.Heard Ms.N.Nasreen Fathima, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents.

3.The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property by virtue of a registered Settlement Deed dated 02.02.1981 which was executed in favour of the petitioner's father. Thereafter, the father of the petitioner died leaving behind the petitioner and other legal heirs. The Town Survey Land Register stood in the name of the grandfather of the petitioner and others. The petitioner wanted the patta to be transferred in the name of the legal heirs. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.The petitioner is directed to make an online application before the 2nd respondent with all the necessary particulars. The 2nd respondent on receipt of the same shall act upon the online application and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of online application from the petitioner. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
