This original petition has been filed taking advantage of Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 seeking Succession Certificate with respect to the death benefits to be paid to the son of the petitioner herein, Magesh who was working at Apollo Pharmacies Limited at Greams Road, Chennai, as Senior Manager. He died a bachelor on 16.06.2019. His father / husband of the petitioner had died on 12.04.2016. There were death benefits to be paid by the Apollo Pharmacies Limited to Magesh. In view of the same, the present Original Petition has been filed seeking Succession Certificate.

2.After effecting paper publication, the petitioner was invited to adduce evidence. The petitioner examined herself as PW-1. The letter issued by the Apollo Pharmacies Limited dated 06.12.2021 was marked as Ex.P1. The death certificate of her son, Magesh was marked as Ex.P2 and the legal heirship certificate was marked as Ex.P3. The copy of the paper publication was marked as Ex.P5.

smv 3.In view of the evidence adduced, this Original Petition stands allowed. The Succession Certificate to be issued in the name of the petitioner, Navaneetham.
