PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to register the imported Car (Imported) Jaguar 240 bearing Chassis No.1341230N without demanding Entry Tax Clearance Certificate from the second respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the petitioner has paid Rs.1,77,321/-, being the balance arrears of Entry Tax to be paid to the respondents by way of Demand Draft No.045871 dated 13.08.2021 drawn on Bank of India, Adyar Branch, Chennai.
