2.W.P.No.1537 of 2006 has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents and their subordinates from demanding or collecting entry tax on the petitioner's used Mercedes Benz CLK 270 CDI bearing chassis number WDB2093161F037749 to be registered and assigned new registration mark by the third and fourth respondents.
3.When the matter is called today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. The case pertains to collection of entry tax on the petitioner's used vehicles. It is noted that the writ petitions are of the year 2006 and more than 15 years have lapsed since these writ petitions were filed.
4.In view of the aforestated position, these Writ Petitions are closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
