O R D E R

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judge, II Additional Family Court, Chennai, to dispose the HMOP.No.2066 of 2013 filed by the petitioner, within a stipulated period of time.

2. The revision petitioner is the husband. The respondent is the wife. Marriage between the petitioner and the respondent was solemnized on

30.11.2008 as per Hindu rites and customs. They set up their matrimonial home at Velachery. In the wedlock, a female child was born. Due to dispute between them, they are living separately. The petitioner has filed HMOP.No.2066 of 2013 on the file of the II Additional Family Court, Chennai. The said HMOP was filed for divorce. Till date, the respondent has not filed any counter statement and the HMOP is pending without any progress. In the circumstances, the petitioner has come out with the present Civil Revision Petition, for early disposal of the HMOP.No.2066 of 2013 on the file of the II Additional Family Court, Chennai.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

4. Taking into consideration, the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition and without deciding the issue on merits, I direct the learned Judge, II Additional Family Court, Chennai, to dispose the HMOP.No.2066 of 2013, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than 30th September 2017.

5. The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
