The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to issue Hall Ticket to their ITI Trainees (academic session 2016-2018) to sit for examination to be held on 02.02.2017 onwards at Government Men ITI, Mettupalayam, Pondicherry as well as the approval for user ID and Password to the petitioner ITI.
According to the petitioner, the respondents have instructed all the ITIs to upload their details in the web portal address for the academic session, from August 2016 and they have also issued the examination schedule
for the first semester examination to be held on 02.02.2017 onwards. In this connection, the petitioner has sent their web address to the 1st and 2nd respondents and requested them to release their user ID and Password for issuance of Hall Ticket to their students to sit for examination. Since there is no reply from the respondents 1 and 2, the petitioner has approached this Court.
Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy) appearing for respondents 2 and 3 submitted that in view of the fact that the petitioner institution forgot their own password for uploading the details of their students in the web portal, Hall tickets could not be generated. However, she made it clear that the students of the petitioner Institution will be permitted to appear for the practical examination now which will be conducted for the first ten days in February 2017. She further submitted that in the meanwhile, as and when Hall Tickets are generated, the students of the petitioner Institution will be permitted to appear for the theory examination also.

Recording the statement of the learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy), this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.No.2017 of 2017 is closed.
