Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records of the 1st respondent culminating in and by his proceeding No. 2006-2007 dated 20.11.2006 and quash the same and consequently directing the 1st respondent to promote the petitioner as Maistry at Surath Weaving Section in Tamil Nadu Zari Limited.

When the matter was came up for hearing on 05.11.2020 there was no representation for the petitioner as well as the respondents and the matter was directed to be listed on 03.12.2020 under the caption ''for final disposal''. Despite the petitioner's name is being printed in the cause list, even today, there is no appearance either in person or through counsel.

2. On 07.10.2010, this Court passed the following order : "Respondent's counsel states that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner retired on 14.9.2010 and received all retirement benefits. Petitioner's counsel seeks time to verify the same. Post on 26.10.2010."

3.In view of the above, this Court finds that since the petitioner retired on 14.09.2010 and had received all the retirement benefits, the petitioner is not interested in proceeding with the matter further. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
