ORDER

The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondents to refund Rs.20,00,000/- payable to the petitioner towards refundable security deposit in the account of the petitioner's Solar Power Plant HTSC No 059514500218.

2. The petitioner had approached the respondents for establishing the 1 MW Solar Power Plant under TNERC's order. The petitioner had paid necessary charges including the security deposit which is refundable. The Solar Power Plant bearing HTSC No.059514500218 was commissioned on 18.02.2025 and the same was certified by the respondents. Thereafter, the petitioner had sent several representations to the respondents claiming refund of security deposit of Rs.20,00,000/-. But the same was not considered to date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard Mr.R.S.Pandiyaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.R.Arun Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 1 to 4.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that the amount claimed by the petitioner towards security deposit will be refunded to the petitioner in two weeks time.

5. Recording the statement made by the learned Standing Counsel, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
