By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.V.R.Kamalanathan, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

2. The petitioner was appointed as a Professor in the service of the Annamalai University on 27.12.1988 and retired on superannuation on 30.06.1996 by order No.165/96(C1) dated 30.06.1996. It is also the claim of the petitioner that he is eligible for pensionary benefits for the entire period of service rendered by him including the service of 3 years and 5 months and 12 days rendered outside the University.

3. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the arrears of Rs.10,76,649/- as certified by the respondent in Ref.No.17/12732/2009 dated 13.07.2012 have not been released https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and in this regard, he has also submitted a representation dated 10.04.2016 and inspite of receipt and acknowledgment, so far no orders came to be passed. Hence, he came forward to file this writ petition.

4. Heard the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.R.Kamalanathan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent.

5. This Court, taking into consideration, the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, after taking note of the certificate in Ref.No.17/12732/2009 dated 13.07.2012 and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
