... Respondents in both appeals and writ petitions These cases came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Ms.S.Hemalatha, the learned counsel for the appellant and Mr.P.R.Dhilip Kumar, the learned standing counsel for Tamil Nadu Electricity Board/respondents 1 to 3 are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Both parties have entered into a compromise and the respondents 1 to 3 has given a letter which reads as follows:- " With reference to the above subject, the case was referred to Lok Adalat - II, in which on behalf of Board, I am willing to waive off the BPSC charges in the above writ appeal and it is also informed that the payment made by K.Ravindranath in SC.No: 194-020-30 to the amount of Rs.1,06,806/- (Rupees one lakh six thousand eight hundred and six only) dated 01.03.2012 and SC.No:194-020-31 to the amount of Rs.81,258/- (Rupees Eighty one thousand two hundred and fifty eight only) dated 01.03.2012 will be adjusted in the future current consumption charges and the appellant cannot claim any interest over the total amount paid. "

The appellant has taken note of the same and made an endorsement, which reads as follows:- " The appellant agrees to withdraw the above said appeals in W.A.Nos.1378 and 1379 of 2011, based on the above terms in this letter. The appellant further agrees that he will not claim any interest for the amount already paid."
3. In view of the such facts, the appeals are disposed of accordingly. The aforesaid letter of TNEB shall form part of the order. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed if any.
