PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Court Act, praying to punish the respondents for their willful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 12.12.2019 made in W.P.No.692 of 2018. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Gunasekaran For Respondents : Mr.E.Balamurugan

ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking to punish the respondents for having committed contempt of court by disobeying the order of this Court dated 12.12.2019 passed in W.P.No.692 of 2018.

2. It is stated by both the learned counsels that the order of the Writ Court, against which the present contempt petition has been filed, has been appealed before the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court and notice has been ordered in the interim application filed to condone the delay in filing the writ appeal.

3. Hence, it would not be appropriate for this Court to parallely adjudicate the contempt petition, when the Hon'ble Division Bench has seized off the matter. However, if liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout his remedies subject to the outcome of the writ appeal, the ends of justice could be secured.

4. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedies, subject to the outcome of the writ appeal.
