Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner application dated 4.12.2023 for granting of temporary electricity service connection to the petitioner for constructing house in his property comprising in Survey No.374/1F situated at Sukkampalayam Village, Palladam Taluk, Tiruppur District by waiving the objections of 4th respondent regarding erection electricity poles on the common pathway. ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner application dated 4.12.2023 for granting of temporary electricity service connection to the petitioner for constructing house in his property comprising in Survey No.374/1F situated at Sukkampalayam Village, Palladam Taluk, Tiruppur District by waiving the objections of 4th respondent regarding erection electricity poles on the common pathway.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he submitted an application seeking a temporary electricity service connection. However, the said application has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the petitioner himself had come forward and sought cancellation of his application for temporary electricity service connection. Accordingly, the said application was cancelled on 03.09.2024.
4. Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
