Petitions under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 31.08.2015 and to grant patta to the respective petitioners in respect of the property admeasuring 0.01 ares out of 0.64 ares comprised in Survey No. 251/2 situated at Vengikal Village and Panchayat, Thiruvannamalai District.

C O M M O N O R D E R As the issue involved in all the writ petitions is one and the same, they are taken up together and disposed of by this common order.

Though the petitioners have come forward to file these writ petitions seeking consideration of their representations made on 31.08.2015, when the writ petitions are taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submitted that the petitioners have been issued with orders of eviction under Section 6 of Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905. 3.

In such circumstance, the only remedy available to the petitioners is to file appeals to the first respondent. 4.

Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of giving liberty to the petitioners to file appeals within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the said appeals, it is well open to the respective petitioners to seek patta in their favour, which will have to be considered by the 1st respondent.
