Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay the interest amount for the petitioner's delayed payment of gratutity amount, encashment of surrender leave amount with 9% interest P.a.till the date of payment, as per this Hon'ble Court order dated 09.07.2018 in C.M.P.No.6352 of 2018 in W.A.No.665 of 2018.

The petitioner was working as Conductor in the respondent Transport Corporation and attained the age of superannuation on 31.05.2011. The retiral benefits of gratuity and surrender leave salary have been received by the petitioner belatedly, for which he has not been given the interest. Hence the petitioner made representations to the respondents in this connection, but in vain. Hence this writ petition.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 20.09.2018 which was made for granting interest for the delayed payment of gratuity and surrender leave salary, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
