Respondent PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct a cultural program schedule to be held on 30.03.2017 at "Kumti Mari Amman Temple" Elarapatti Colony, Athur Kuppam, Natrampalli, Natrampalli Taluk, Vellore District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2017. ORDER

The prayer made in the writ petition is to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission to conduct Nadana Natiyalaya programme in the event of "Kumti Mari Amman Temple" festival scheduled to be held on 30.03.2017 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2017.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has submitted a representation dated 21.03.2017 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct Nadana Natiyalaya programme in the event of "Kumti Mari Amman Temple" festival at Elarapatti Colony, Athur Kuppam, Natrampalli Taluk, Vellore District, scheduled to be held on 30.03.2017. However, till date, no order has been passed by the respondent. Hence, this petition.

3. Though the petitioner sought for permission to conduct Nadana Natiyalaya programme, learned counsel for the petitioner restricted the same to the extent of conducting Orchestra, for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

which, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent has raised no serious objection.

In view of the submission so made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.03.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Orchestra in the event of Kumti Mari Amman Temple festival at Elarapatti Colony, Athur Kuppam, Natrampalli Taluk, Vellore District scheduled to be held on 30.03.2017, subject to usual conditions. It is made clear that this Court has not granted any direction to conduct "Adal Padal Nigazhchi / dance programme" in the name of "Nadana Natiyalaya Programme".
