Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent in IC No.396/2008 dated 03.04.2008 and quash the same as illegal, void and ultra vires and direct the first respondent to levy and collect property tax in respect of the house properties bearing Door Nos.187, 188, 189, 192 and 197 of Gandhi Road, Kancheepuram-1 in the name of the petitioner herein. ORDER

Though this writ petition has been filed questioning the Town Survey Field Register, the learned counsel on either side have submitted that a direction may be given to the first respondent to conduct proper enquiry before effecting mutation of revenue records and for proper assessment of property tax. 2.In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to conduct proper enquiry into https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the matter after issuing notice to the petitioner, second respondent and all the concerned parties and decide the issue in accordance with law, before effecting mutation of revenue records and thereafter proceed further with collection of property tax. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
