6 V.Chinnaiyan [ RESPONDENTS] Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to cancel the joint patta No. 521 stand in the name of the petitioner and the 6th respondent and issue a separate patta in favour of the petitioner for the land comprised in Survey No. 28/2A to an extent of 62 Ares situated at Privudaiyampattu Village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District, based on the petitioners recent representation dated 23.12.2016 within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

Seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider his representation dated 23.12.2016, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

2.According to the petitioner, he has made a representation dated 23.12.2016 to the respondents 1 to 5 for cancellation of patta stand in the name of the sixth respondent including him and for issuance of a separate patta in his name. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner approached this court by filing this writ petition. 4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2016 on merits and in accordance with law after giving opportunity of hearing to both parties and then pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
