This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to cancel the illegal demarking in respect of the petitioner's land comprised in S.No.246/17, Villinjiampakkam Village bearing Door No.52, V.O.C.Street, Avadi, Chennai-71 and to issue fresh patta to the petitioner.

2.This writ petition was filed in the year 2009 and an order of status quo was passed on 22.01.2009 and the matter has been kept pending without passing any further orders. At this length of time, there is no purpose in keeping this writ petition pending. In respect of the prayer made by the petitioner, the petitioner has made representations to the second and third respondents on 05.10.2008. Hence, this Court deems it fit to direct the second and third respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.10.2008 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
