ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to rectify patta Nos.1113 and 1114, standing in the name of the first petitioner by correcting the extent of land and substituting the names of the strangers with the first petitioner's name.
2. The petitioners claim that patta Nos.1113 and 1114 issued by the Tahsildar in favour of the first petitioner is incorrect, as the extent of land as well as the names of the parties found in the said pattas are incorrect. The petitioner seeks for correction of the land extent and substitution of the strangers name with the first petitioner's name in the said pattas. The petitioners had given a representation on 22.12.2025 to the second respondent, seeking for rectification of patta Nos.1113 and 1114 and substitution of the strangers name
with the name of the first petitioner in the said pattas. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed. The petitioners also seek for issuance of separate exclusive patta in the name of the first petitioner by excluding the name of the strangers.
3. Mr. R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents 3 to 11, notice to the respondents 3 to 11 is dispensed with by this Court.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioners' representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the objections of the respondents 3 to 11 as well as any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' representation dated 22.12.2025.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners' representation dated 22.12.2025, seeking for rectification of patta Nos.1113 and
1114 for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and for issuance of separate exclusive patta in the name of the first petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after hearing the objections of the respondents 3 to 11 as well as any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire.
7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is ordered, subject to payment of single Court fee.
