This writ petition has been filed to issue Writ of Declaration declaring the minutes of the Finance Sub Committee held on 17.04.2013 and the resolution No.42 in the Minutes of Meeting of Syndicate held on 26.04.2013 approving the promotion of one SC/ST Assistant Registrar as Deputy Registrar in the regular vacancy without creating supernumerary post as proposed in the Minutes as illegal and null and void and unconstitutional as without being preceded by a service rule under Article 16(4)(A) of Constitution of India enabling promotion of SC/ST candidates affecting merit and seniority and overlooking the existing panel and consequently promote the petitioner to the post of Deputy Registrar in ensuing vacancy arising on 01.07.2013. 2/4

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. 3.

In view of the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
