ORDER

The petition has been filed seeking modification of the condition imposed while granting bail under Section 167(2) of Cr.P.C to the petitioner herein who had filed Crl.M.P.No.8943 of 2023 before the Principal Special Court under EC & NDPS Act, Chennai.

2.Heard both sides.

3.The petitioner had been granted bail by an order dated 28.11.2023. Among the conditions imposed, one of the condition was that the petitioner should produce two acceptable and reliable sureties for a sum of Rs.10,000/-.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner is not able to produce two sureties. The condition is modified that among two sureties one surety shall be a blood surety.

5.A memo had been filed by the learned counsel for the petitioner stating that a close relative Rajani Nahak, D/o.Subas Swain residing at Roadsahi, Kairsashi, Koirasi, Ganjam, Odisha-761029, who is the father's sister's daugher of the petitioner is prepared to stand as surety. The credentials had been verified by the respondent. 2/4

6. In view of the same, the condition imposed is modified that out of the two sureties, one surety should be a blood surety who may also be a close relative.
