The petitioner, who is arrayed as A2, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 IPC in Crime No.599 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is the wife of the first accused. The petitioner and the first accused were running a chit transaction and collected amount from the defacto complainant and others and subsequently, they have cheated the defacto complainant.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and she has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State submitted that the petitioner is none other than the wife of the first accused and the first accused was arrested. He further submitted that the investigation is under progress.

aeb/ari 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 25.05.2016 Crl.O.P.No.10861 of 2016
