Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to process and consider the petitioner requisition dated 17.08.2016 within a time frame limit and render the report to the Local Planning Council, Thiruppur to facilitate the application of Planning Permission of the petitioner.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to process and consider the petitioner's request dated 17.08.2016, wherein and whereby, the petitioner sought for approval from the respondent for constructing Mosque in the subject matter of the property.

The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the respondent has not considered the said request so far. The https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

learned counsel appearing for Tamil Nadu Wakf Board would submit that it is for the respondent/ the District Collector to consider the request of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass order on the same on merits and in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
