The Executive Officer Natrampalli Town Panchayat, Natrampalli, Vellore District.
...
Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 13.12.2018.
For Petitioner : Mr.S.Gunaseelan For Respondent : M/s.M.Perumal ****
O R D E R
According to the petitioner, petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 13.12.2018 to pay compensation for the land taken possession by the respondent in the year 1984, but, so far no compensation amount has been paid to the petitioner, nor any order has been passed by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court seeking direction to the respondent.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the sole respondent would submit that the said land was taken possession in the year 1984 for laying drainage pipeline. The writ petition is not maintainable against the respondent for payment of compensation.

3. As rightly pointed out by the learned counsel for the respondent, the writ petition is not maintainable against the respondent. However, it is open to the petitioner to seek remedy before the District Collector concerned, if permissible under law.
4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
