Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 29.09.2015 in No.C2/19390/2015 against the petitioner's son in law Manikandan, son of Mayavan, aged about 27 years who is confined at Central prison, Cuddalore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

The petitioner, who is the uncle of the detenu Manikandan, son of Mayavan, aged about 27 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order C2/19390/2015 dated 29.09.2015 passed by the second respondent against his brother branding him as a "Blackmarketeer" as contemplated under the provisions of Prevention of Black Marketing and Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act, 1980 (Act No.7 of 1980). 2.As the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this petition has become infructuous and nothing survives for adjudication in it, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
