Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the Memorandum of Grounds in Crl.A.No.520/2017 on the file of the High Court, the High Court will be pleased to suspend the imposed in Spl.C.C.No.30 of 2014 on 28.07.2017 on the file of the Learned Special Judge, (Special Court for Trial of Cases Under the Prevention of Corruption Act), Salem and enlarge the Petitioner/Appellant on bail till the disposal of the above said Criminal Appeal pending before this Honble Court. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the Memorandum of Grounds in Crl.A.No.520/2017 on the file of the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.K.M.SUBHERAMANIAM, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR. R. RAVICHANDRAN, Government Advocate (Crl.
Side) on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- Seeking to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner by the learned Special Judge, (Special Court for trial of cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act) Salem, in Special Calendar Case No.30 of 2014 dated 28.07.2017, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent.
3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this miscellaneous petition is allowed and the order passed by the learned Special Judge, (Special Court for trial of cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act) Salem, in Special Calendar Case No.30 of 2014, dated 28.07.2017, is suspended on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, (Special Court for Trial of Cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act) Salem. Further, the petitioner shall appear before the trial Court on first working day of every month at 10.30 a.m until further orders.
