PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the letter NO.EE/O&M/KKNR/AAO/Ba22A/c 231-15-93 D No.234A/9.5.2006 issued by the second respondent herein and quash the same insofar as the portion of the order with respect to the interest on delayed payment and to direct the 2nd respondent to restore the electricity supply to the service connection No.231:15:93 in the factory premiss at 6/13501m Mahalaxmi Ngar, Karambakkam Post, Chennai-116. By providing new electronic meter at the cost of the petitioner by accepting the current consumption charges a sum of Rs.1,67,230 in ten equal instalments.

When the case was listed on 22.02.2019, there was no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, the case was adjourned to 25.03.2019. When the case was called on 25.03.2019, once again, there was no representation for the petitioner. Accordingly, the case was listed on 03.04.2019 under the caption ''for dismissal''. Even today there is no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is not interested to prosecute the case and accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for default. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are dismissed.
