(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH,ACJ.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.E.Manoharan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent and Mr.K.Sathishkumar, learned counsel, who takes notice on behalf of respondents 2 to 5.
2. The writ petitioner seeks for issuance of a mandamus forbearing the respondents from putting up a TASMAC Shop at Balaji Nagar Podhanur-Chettipalayam Road Coimbatore District or in and around our locality in contra to Rules 8, 9 and 10 of Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (in shops and Bars) Rules 2003 by considering the petitioners representation dated 07.07.2018 and 31.07.2018.
3. It appears that the petitioner is insisting upon the authorities not to establish the TASMAC shop in their locality as noted above. Therefore, it is for the respondent-authority concerned to look into issue and do the needful, if necessary, after hearing the parties concerned, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
